Biomecanics Size Guide
Our products meet the usual standards, but if you have any doubts about the size best suited to your children's feet or your baby's first steps, here are the most frequently asked questions and our Size guide :
Do the measurements in the table apply to all models available in the online store?
- Canvas shoes: They may be slightly wider. We recommend choosing your child's usual size.
- Biohome: Can also have a slightly wider last, similar to summer canvas shoes.
Should I leave 1 cm margin when choosing the size?
Our sizes already provide enough space for the foot to fit properly inside the shoe.
For example :
👉 If your child's foot measures 10.8 cm , we recommend the size 18
👉 If it measures 12.2 cm , the size 20 , etc. (see table below).
There Biogateo line from Biomecanics contains a silhouette printed on the insole: the foot must fit completely into this silhouette when first tried on.
Recommendations for choosing the right size
- Do not choose shoes that are too small or too tight: this prevents the child from extending their toes, causes pain in the instep and hinders proper foot development.
- Also avoid shoes that are too big: the foot will move inside them, which can lead to friction, blisters and poor posture.
- Always try shoes on both feet , as there may be a slight difference in size between the two (one may grow faster than the other).
- The child should wear socks similar to those they will wear with the shoes being tested.
